Hello Everyone!  We’ve been MIA for a few weeks now, as we’ve had a lot going on at home.  We just welcomed a new baby 13 days ago, had some post-birth complications, and woke up this morning to find our four year old daughter covered in chickenpox!  Busy, busy, but I thought it would be a great opportunity to share some tips to help keep your little ones happy when they are feeling crummy with the chicken pox. my husband, the baby whisperer

When my husband and I married, we became a blended family.  I had children from a previous relationship, and so when we became pregnant and had our daughter, I was the parenting pro by default.  He had nothing to worry about because I was going to show him the ropes.

I still remember that night. Our daughter was a newborn, no more than two or three weeks old.  We had just moved back upstairs into our bedroom after a horrible c-section recovery that left me unable to walk for weeks.  The baby was going through a growth spurt and wanted to feed all the time.  I was tired.  She was crying.  The world was falling apart.
